Tiffany won an 18-Diva Tag Team Match for her team
At the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, a 25-Diva Battle Royal will be held to determine the first “Miss WrestleMania.” Opening Raw, 18 of those Divas squared off in a massive tag team match. Out of the chaos that ensued, Tiffany emerged victorious, pinning Katie Lea Burchill to lead her team to victory.
Directly following the match, Santino Marella made his way out to the ring. In spite of being denied entry to the Battle Royal the week before courtesy of a loss to Mickie James, the Italian Superstar is still intent on becoming “Miss WrestleMania.” To illustrate his worthiness, Santino showed off his “mankini” as part of an impromptu swimsuit competition. The Divas didn’t take kindly to the scantily clad Superstar’s claims of superiority and a massive melee broke out with the “Santino’s Casa” star right in the middle, though the craven Italian managed to escape.

Divas Champion Maryse def. Women’s Champion Melina (non-title match)
As a result of their altercation on Raw last week, Divas Champion Maryse came to Raw to face off against Women’s Champion Melina. But Maryse wasn’t traveling alone, as she brought a group of SmackDown Divas with her, including Maria, the Bella Twins, Eve and Michelle McCool. In spite of the presence of a group of Raw Divas including Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes, Layla and Jillian, the Divas Champion managed to pin Melina for the win. Following the match, all of the Divas took to the ring, where they squared off before assaulting one another with little regard to their home brand.
After the match, Raw’s interim General Manager, Vickie Guerrero, announced that there would be a 25-Diva Battle Royal at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, featuring Divas from Raw, SmackDown, ECW and WWE History..

Kelly Kelly def. Divas Champion Maryse by disqualification
After last week’s Diva Battle Royal, in which Divas Champion Maryse sprayed perfume into Mickie James’ eyes causing her to lose to Kelly Kelly, the WWE Universe appeared eager to see the Battle of the Blondes. Kelly Kelly showed why she has received kudos recently for her in-ring abilities. Certainly aware that a title cannot change hands on a disqualification, Maryse got herself disqualified and retained the title. An angered Kelly Kelly then knocked down the cunning champion driving her from the ring.

After weeks of anticipation, Gail Kim returned to WWE. As Michelle McCool was gaining an advantage over the war-torn Maryse, Kim came from nowhere to hit the former Divas Champion with a relentless dropkick off the top rope. She then followed up by hitting Maryse with a neckbreaker. With both Divas lying at her feet, Kim held Maryse’s title high above her head, making her SmackDown intentions very clear.

But when Michelle wouldn’t extend her arm to tag into the match, Maryse got more than she bargained for, falling to Melina and her inside cradle. After the bell, Maryse and Michelle decided to keep the action going, brawling in a whirlwind of Diva brutality.

To remedy a lack of lovelies, a bevy of Divas competed in a 7-on-7 Divas Tag Match, including Mickie James, Divas Champion Melina, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly, Brie and Nikki Bella & Maria against Women’s Champion Michelle McCool, Layla, Beth Phoenix, Natalya, Maryse, Alicia Fox & Rosa Mendes. When the sequins settled, it was Mickie who won the match for her team by pinning Rosa.
Afterward, the Diva of the Year Slammy Award was bestowed upon the sexy, smart and powerful woman who won the most votes exclusively on WWE.com. Your 2009 Slammy Award-winning Diva of the Year? None other than Maria!

Divas Champion Maryse def. Eve (Non-title)
Following Maryse’s victory over Eve with the DDT, Women’s Champion Melina – who Maryse had attacked from behind on Monday Night Raw – charged to the ring and unleashed her fury on the Divas Champion. And though Michelle McCool appeared to be staying out of the action, joining Tazz and Jim Ross at the announce table, her neutrality was short-lived. While Melina was busy with Maryse, the former Divas Champion slid her way into the ring, delivering a massive kick to Melina from behind. In the end, Michelle left both war-torn champions down for the count.
