KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eight of Raw’s top Superstars collided for a coveted WWE Title opportunity at Money in the Bank, but it was United States Champion The Miz who would ascend the ladder and snatch the briefcase out of the air in the Raw Money in the Bank Ladder Match, earning the notorious egotist a WWE Championship Match wherever or whenever he wants in the next year.
After hitting RKOs on no less than three of his opponents, it seemed as though Randy Orton had bested Evan Bourne, Mark Henry, John Morrison, Edge, Chris Jericho, Ted DiBiase and The “Awesome One” in this precarious and punishing bout, but The Miz (and his ego) ultimately climbed the rungs and nabbed the briefcase, because he’s The Miz, and he’s … “Mr. Money in the Bank.”
“You are all living in my moment,” boasted The Miz following the match.
Although The “Awesome One” has hardly abstained from shooting off his mouth in the weeks leading up to this anticipated bout, he affirmed to the WWE Universe that actions speak even louder than words as he began methodically dismantling his opponents. His first target was his longtime rival R-Truth, whom he brutally attacked on Raw and rendered unable to compete at Money in the Bank. Then, just six days before Money in the Bank the increasingly aggressive U.S. Champion hobbled The World’s Strongest Man – R-Truth’s replacement in this match – adding insult to injury by dumping garbage on his fallen foe.
Clearly, The Miz wasn’t interested in forging alliances with any of the Superstars competing in the Raw Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but neither were his opponents. When the participants in this match were announced, Edge was quick to remind the WWE Universe that he was the first-ever Mr. Money in the Bank, and is the only Superstar to not only win two Money in the Bank contracts, but to cash them in to win two World Titles. The Rated-R Superstar’s self-congratulatory attitude made him the target of just about every Superstar in this match, namely Jericho and The Viper.
Meanwhile, DiBiase – having enlisted the aid of Maryse as his “protection” – was certain that he and the Raw Money in the Bank briefcase would become WWE’s “million dollar couple,” earning the multi-generation Superstar a new rival in the form of John Morrison. As Superstars and ladders lay strewn about the ring and at ringside during this explosive encounter, it was The Shaman of Sexy who prevented DiBiase’s devious French-Canadian gal pal from sneaking up a ladder to win the match for her beau.
Bourne, competing in his second-ever Money in the Bank Ladder Match after an awe-inspiring aerial performance at WrestleMania XXVI, went into the Sprint Center having suffered two RKOs in as many weeks, instilling in the energetic young Superstar a sobering fact about this type of contest: It’s every Superstar for himself. Keeping that in mind, “Air” Bourne earned some retribution at Money in the Bank when he nailed The Viper with a dazzling Shooting Star Press. Bourne might be the aerialist, but at Money in the Bank, it was The Miz who scaled the heights.
Since his mean(er) streak “paid off” at Money in the Bank, when will The “Awesome One” cash in his WWE Title opportunity? And now that The Miz is in possession of both the Raw Money in the Bank briefcase and the United States Championship, will the WWE Universe ever hear the end of it? Stay tuned to Raw on Mondays to find out.

UNIONDALE, N.Y. – Alicia Fox shocked the world as she defeated three of Raw’s top Divas to win her first-ever WWE Championship. The new Divas Champion pinned Maryse after then-champion Eve laid out the French-Canadian Diva with a moonsault. Eve learned the hard truth for any champion in a Fatal 4-Way Match as she lost her title without even being pinned herself.
Ever since Melina vacated the Divas Championship and Maryse defeated Gail Kim in the Divas Championship tournament finals, the butterfly has certainly brought out the best in Raw’s Divas, especially in Eve, Gail Kim, Alicia Fox and Maryse. While former champions Eve and Maryse have been at each other’s throats over the title, the animosity between Gail and Alicia has continued to boil over directly into the Divas Championship picture.
These two heated rivalries came to a head inside the Nassau Coliseum. The first was between Eve and Maryse, who have battled over the Divas Championship for months since Eve defeated the French-Canadian Diva for the title on Raw and again defeated her at Over the Limit. Gail Kim and Alicia Fox have been at odds since they joined Zack Ryder at ringside when he squared off against Evan Bourne on Raw. Alicia tried to assist The Long-Island Loudmouth in securing a victory, but was stopped by Gail. Since then, the two Divas haven’t been on level ground and have met in singles competition with Alicia picking up a victory over Gail.
With the Divas Title at stake, the sexy, smart and powerful Divas of Raw had to put any pre-existing allegiances and personal animosities aside to instead focus on the coveted butterfly. After a hard-fought battle, while the rivalries continued, it was certainly every Diva for herself. When the dust settled, Alicia Fox not only stood tall as the new champion, tossing Eve out of the ring and pinning Maryse for the win.
While Alicia Fox celebrates her first Divas Championship, she must now prepare for a new level of challenges. The Foxy Floridian has continued to improve over recent months, and capturing her first championship is proof of that fact, and has made Alicia a force to be reckoned with.

Divas Championship Fatal 4-Way Match
June 20, 2010
When Eve, Gail Kim, Maryse and Alicia Fox get together at Fatal 4-Way this Sunday, the sexy, smart and powerful women will be kicking, hitting and battling it out like brides-to-be at a wedding dress clearance sale. The big prize, however, isn’t a bronzed groom, it’s a golden butterfly – the Divas Title.
While Eve currently reigns as Divas Champion, her nagging nemesis, Maryse, has been pining for the title ever since the two separated in February. During the Viewer’s Choice Diva Battle Royal, the conceited Canadian sharpened her attack against Eve by enlisting the help of Jillian. After punishing the current Divas Champion, the Monday Night Mean Girl heaved her from the ring – along with Jillian – to prevail and send a clear message: She wants to reconcile with the Butterfly Title.
For their part, Kim – herself a former Women’s Champion – and Fox seem to have grown tired of playing the part of bridesmaid. While each has provided a strong tag team partner for Eve and Maryse, respectively, they both now appear eager to take center stage and walk down the aisle with a victory.
Be sure to catch all the action live June 20 at 8/7 CT, only on pay-per-view.

French toast
By: Ryan Murphy
May 23, 2010
DETROIT — It takes a lot to silence the arrogant Maryse. But the stunning Eve managed to do it at Over the Limit, driving her rival’s perfect face into the mat to pick up the win and hold on to her coveted Divas Championship.
Maryse can’t be happy about the way things turned out tonight. After losing the butterfly title to Eve in April, the conceited Diva has done everything possible to make life miserable for her gorgeous foe. From interfering in Eve’s matches to brutally attacking her during a photoshoot, nothing was too devious for the French-Canadian competitor. But when it finally came down to a fair fight, the Divas Champion’s jiu-jitsu skills were simply too much for Maryse to handle.
That isn’t to say Maryse was completely outmatched. As vicious as she is beautiful, the leggy blonde brought the fight to Eve, nearly pinning her on multiple occasions. But the French-Canadian’s arrogance soon went to her head, giving the Divas Champion the opportunity to nail a unique maneuver that sent Maryse headfirst to the canvas.
Will this loss silence the conceited Diva or is she already figuring out another way to humiliate Eve? Tune into Raw on Monday night to find out.

Vickie throws her weight around
By: Ryan Murphy
March 28, 2010
PHOENIX — Whoever coined the term “when pigs fly” never saw Vickie Guerrero in action.
In the closing moments of the 10-Divas Tag Team Match at WrestleMania, the Official SmackDown Consultant slowly scaled the ropes and then launched herself onto a prone Kelly Kelly, crushing the blonde beauty and picking up the win for her team on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
It was an unexpected end to the wild battle pitting Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Eve, Gail Kim & Beth Phoenix against Women’s Champion Michelle McCool, Divas Champion Maryse, Layla, Alicia Fox & Vickie. After a fracas that saw nearly every Diva in the match nail their trademark maneuvers, it came down to The Glamazon and Guerrero. But a sneak attack by the Women’s Champion put Phoenix out of the bout, allowing Vickie to do the unthinkable. With a helping hand from her team, Guerrero scaled the ropes and performed a “hog splash” onto Kelly Kelly that nearly shook the University of Phoenix Stadium.
While Kelly will still be feeling the effects of Vickie’s considerable impact tomorrow, it is Beth Phoenix who most wanted to get her hands on the shrill SmackDown Consultant. After being pinned by Vickie on Friday, The Glamazon would like nothing more than to shut her big mouth.
Will the powerful Diva get her chance on SmackDown? Tune in on Friday night to find out.]

SmackDown thwarts gateway to Divas Title
By: Kevin Powers
February 21, 2010
ST. LOUIS – Michelle McCool & Layla defeated Maryse & Gail Kim in an impromptu Divas Tag Team Match ordered at the last minute by SmackDown Official Consultant Vickie Guerrero.
It had been a hard fought Divas Championship Tournament after Melina was forced to vacate the title due to injury. After many grueling and action-packed matches, Gail Kim and Maryse were set-up to square off for the coveted Divas Championship. The match was set for WWE Elimination Chamber and a heated, yet fairly civil, rivalry was about to reach its pinnacle.
However, the conclusion to the Divas Championship Tournament was simply not in the cards for WWE Elimination Chamber as SmackDown Official Consultant Vickie Guerrero changed the match at the very last second. Feeling that the SmackDown Divas were not properly represented in the night’s event, she postponed the Championship Match and set a tag team contest, Gail Kim & Maryse vs. SmackDown Divas Michelle McCool & Layla.
Vickie Guerrero cited Raw Divas’ comments against SmackDown’s sexy, smart and powerful women as a major factor in her decision to order the match change.
As the bout got underway, it became abundantly clear that Maryse had no interest in being Gail Kim’s partner and refused to tag into the contest. This allowed Michelle McCool and Layla to pick up a victory for SmackDown in what essentially became more of a handicap encounter.
Adding insult to injury, after the match, Maryse then hit Gail Kim with the French Kiss, leaving her eventual Divas Championship opponent laid out in the middle of the ring. While tensions further erupted between Gail Kim and Maryse, the night ended with a still vacated Divas Championship.
